Cardiology

General Medicine

This Department caters to the needs of patients for all day to day general ailments, such as seasonal diseases and various other common areas of suffering by old, young and children of all sexes. The General Medicine services are available without any break throughout the day from 9.00 a.m. up to 8.00 p.m. The special facility for 11 hours has been made available to take care of the need of outdoor patients.

ENT

This is a recent useful addition to the Hospital so that patients suffering from Ear, Nose and Throat diseases can also get treatment under on roof. This department is managed by a full time Specialist Dr. Vijay Bansal, MS (ENT) who is also now designated as Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.

Radiology

Radiology is a specialty that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases seen within the body. He and his team provides services in General Surgery as well as Laparoscopy and non-invasive surgeries.

Physiotherapy

Physical therapy (PT), also known as physiotherapy, is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialty that, by using mechanical force and movements, remediates impairments and promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention. It is performed by physical therapists (known as physiotherapists in many countries).

Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. A medical professional who practices oncology is an oncologist.The name’s etymological origin is the Greek word (ónkos), meaning “tumor”, “volume” or “mass”.

The three components which have improved survival in cancer are:

Prevention – This is by reduction of risk factors like tobacco and alcohol consumption.
Early diagnosis – Screening of common cancers[4] and comprehensive diagnosis and staging.
Treatment – Multimodality management[5] by discussion in tumor board and treatment in a comprehensive cancer centre.

Endoscopy & Gastrology

Endoscopy means looking inside and typically refers to looking inside the body for medical reasons using an endoscope,an instrument used to examine the interior of a hollow organ or cavity of the body. Unlike most other medical imaging techniques, endoscopes are inserted directly into the organ.

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders.
Diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, which include the organs from mouth to anus, along the alimentary canal, are the focus of this speciality. Physicians practicing in this field are called gastroenterologists. They have usually completed about eight years of pre-medical and medical education, a year-long internship (if this is not a part of the residency), three years of an internal medicine residency, and two to three years in the gastroenterology fellowship.

Speech Therapy and Audiology

Audiologists and speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat people who have communication disorders. Audiologists are concerned with the identification, measurement, and study of hearing and hearing impairments and with the treatment of persons with hearing disorders. Speech-language pathologists are specialists who diagnose and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, literacy and fluency disorders. Because speech and/or hearing problems are both communication disorders, audiologists and speech-language pathologists work together to determine sources of communication problems and to coordinate programs of rehabilitation. Graduates of this program are prepared for positions in a variety of professional settings including school systems; community speech, language, and hearing centers; private practice; physician’s offices; hospital clinics; rehabilitation centers; day care centers; college-training programs; and residential institutions.
